Zelensky says Russia launches 30 drone attacks on Ukraine in two daysUkraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky says Russia has launched more than 30 drone attacks on Ukraine in just two days. Speaking from Kyiv and standing beside what appeared to be a downed Iranian Shahed drone, Mr Zelensky pledged to "clip the wings" of Moscow's air power. Western officials believe Iran has supplied a large number of drones to Russia, but Moscow and Tehran deny it. Kyiv has identified the drones used in some attacks on its infrastructure as Iranian Shahed-136 drones. "If... it becomes clear to us that Russia has used Iranian drones in the war against Ukraine, we will definitely not be indifferent about this issue," he added.
By Tushar BhaduriFootball arouses passion like no other sport in the world. It’s what makes refereeing decisions, including ones by the video assistant referee (VAR) at the elite level, the most contentious part of the game. Players surround the referee after almost every decision that goes against their teams, with managers going ballistic with their antics on the touchline. It’s the managers who have arguably the most to lose if the results go against their teams. Ironically, it’s their own manager and players who are more often their target.1 month ago The Financial Express
Pricing and marketing freedom are a must to ensure billions of dollar investment as costs of finding and producing natural gas from deposits lying several hundred metres below seabed are market driven, producers have told a government-appointed panel reviewing gas pricing. But gas consumers are seeking “some kind of cap” particularly in government-regulated APM gas which feeds city gas networks that sell CNG to automobiles and piped natural gas to household kitchens for cooking. The government biannually fixes gas prices based on rates prevalent in surplus nations. Natural gas is used to generate electricity, produce fertilizers for crops, turn into CNG to run automobiles and piped gas into household kitchens for cooking. In the last two years, gas production from Krishna Godavari deep-sea has augmented domestic production because of pricing and marketing freedom granted in 2016 which made it economical to produce from fields.1 month ago The Financial Express

The World Health Organization (WHO) on Sunday said that every year, an estimated 1 million people, die from lead poisoning on the ocassion of the 10th International Lead Poisoning Prevention Week (ILPPW). This year the theme is ‘Say no to lead poisoning’ to raise awareness about lead poisoning and encourage all countries to take action to prevent lead exposure, particularly in children. A BJP leader foolishly interjected to remark that AAP was no great threat and would in fact simply divide the Opposition’s vote (vote katva). AAP was the only Opposition party gaining momentum all over the country as it has no baggage from the past to answer for. He warned that AAP should be contained and not permitted to cross 24% of the vote or the BJP could be in trouble. Consider the new office-bearers: Amit Shah’s son Jay continues as general secretary; Devajit Saikia, Assam’s attorney general and Himanta Biswa Sarma’s aide is joint general secretary; and Ashish Shelar, the BJP MLA from Mumbai, is treasurer. Last month, a Congress MLA pleaded with Congress general secretary K C Venugopal that if Rahul cannot make it, at least Priyanka Vadra should come for the Gujarat garba celebrations.1 month ago The Financial Express
