WREXHAM scored three second half goals to beat Gateshead 3-0 at The International Stadium and take over at the top of the National League. Campbell also fired over immediately after the restart while Tom O'Connor shot straight at Marschall for Wrexham. There was an improvement from Wrexham with Mullin forcing Marschall to palm his effort away, and the Reds took a 61st minute lead. Southampton resisting temptation to bring back Romeo Lavia at Crystal Palace

A mural by a Belfast street artist in tribute to displaced Ukrainians has been selected as one of Graffiti Art Magazine’s renowned Murals Of The Year. Emic, aka Eoin McGinn, painted a sunflower in tribute to Ukrainians displaced due to the invasion by Russia. Graffiti Art Magazine’s Guide to Urban Contemporary Art 2022 showcases 12 murals of the year. The murals were compiled by Street Art Cities, a website and mobile app dedicated to excellence in the art form. “Street Art Cities is the biggest global street art database and together we’re on a mission to promote and document all urban art in the world.

Enterprise Zones offer tax incentives for capital investments and, for a short-period, a reduction on business rates. However, through a rigorous campaign by the business community in Deeside, led by Deeside Business Forum, the Welsh Government was persuaded to designate Deeside and six other locations in Wales as Enterprise Zones. Already billions of private sector investments have been poured into Deeside Enterprise Zone. The UK government once again announced 38 more Enterprise Zones, under the name of Investment Zones in England. We have already demonstrated that we can deliver great economic achievements through these types of Zones.

Wrexham: Fundraising bid to raise £40k for vital cancer treatment

FRIENDS and colleagues of a Wrexham man will be walking from Manchester to Hawarden in a bid to raise funds for vital treatment in Europe. Mr James and his wife are planning to join the final leg of the walk on Friday, from Ellesmere Port to Hawarden. Mr James, along with the help of family and friends, is now hoping to raise £40,000 to help fund the treatment not available on the NHS. "By the time it was picked up, the bowel cancer had spread to my liver, meaning it was very difficult to treat. A music event called Gaztonbury (www.Gaztonbury.com) will also be staged at Rossett Village Hall on November 26 at 7.30pm to help raise money.

Another roller-coaster ride for Wrexham supporters in 2022

THERE was more heartbreak for success-starved supporters but Wrexham head into 2023 in a brilliant position to finally deliver the promotion everyone craves. However, Wrexham weren’t done and wins against Weymouth (6-1) and Southend (1-0) kept the title dream alive going into May. Elliot Lee - one of the summer signings - was brought on off the bench as the Reds came from behind to beat Eastleigh 2-1 on the opening day. Wrexham came from behind to win 2-1 at Oldham but a second defeat arrived in the top of the table clash at Notts County who won 1-0. Wrexham are up there challenging for the title and now they have to finish the job off in 2023.
