After visiting an army facility in southern England where Ukrainians are being trained to drive Britain’s Challenger 2 tanks, Mr Zelensky will head to France - a country that has not joined the group of European countries offering tanks. APHe is scheduled to meet both French President Emmanuel Macron and Mr Scholz during his overnight stop there. “Great Britain, you extended your helping hand when the world had not yet come to understand how to react,” Mr Zelensky said in his address to British parliamentarians. Thank you.”Mr Johnson, who visited Mr Zelensky in Kyiv in a personal capacity last month, has urged the West to provide fighter jets. Earlier this week, though, Mr Scholz warned his fellow NATO countries not to get caught up in a “constant competition to outbid each other when it comes to weapons systems”.
