England captain Leah Williamson said the Lionesses want to wear the pro-LGBTQ+ OneLove armband at the women’s World Cup in July. However, England’s men’s team, along with teams from several other European nations, were not permitted to wear the OneLove armband at the recent World Cup in Qatar amid threats from FIFA of players getting yellow cards. Williamson said the Lionesses are dead set on showing their support and continue to wear the armband, especially after their Euro 2022 victory.
