CEOs in CEE are finding ways to leverage the current crisis for their companies’ long-term benefit

In this year’s survey, Germany is the top focus for growth for 42 per cent of CEE CEOs. CEOs in CEE are increasing cyber investments in response to geopolitical conflict, but not as much as their global counterparts (CEE: 34 per cent, global: 48 per cent). This is an optimistic sign that CEOs are finding ways to leverage the current crisis for their companies’ long-term benefit. Other threats include changing customer preferences (CEE: 52 per cent, global: 56 per cent), and technology disruption such as advanced tech, AI, the metaverse, blockchain (CEE: 47 per cent, global: 49 per cent). Technology – and reinvention-oriented investments loom large for many global and CEE CEOs.

The European Commission is further consulting the EU’s Member States on a prolongation and adjustment of the State aid Temporary Crisis Framework to support the economy in the context of Russia’s war against Ukraine. This follows a first consultation of Member States launched on 5 October 2022. They aim at ensuring that the Temporary Crisis Framework continues to enable Member States to provide necessary and proportionate support to the economy while ensuring a level playing field. The State aid Temporary Crisis Framework, adopted on 23 March 2022, enables Member States to use the flexibility foreseen under State aid rules to support the economy in the context of Russia’s war against Ukraine. In particular, Member States can devise schemes for a specific technology, requiring support in view of the particular national energy mix; and.

Intel signs 7 out of top 10 fabless companies, sees 18A test chip

The company has taped out a test chip for its 18A process for a foundry customer this quarter.
