Richard Kerr raced to victory in Co DownRichard Kerr was an emphatic winner of the prestigious 45th Sunflower Trophy race at Bishopscourt for the first time yesterday as the event returned after a three-year absence. Kerr won Friday’s wet Superbike race from Eunan McGlinchey (McAdoo Kawasaki). He secured a double with victory over Seeley in race two by four seconds yesterday. “I’m over the moon and it’s great for AMD Motorsport because it’s their first Sunflower race and well,” Kerr said. In race two, Cooper won comfortably on the J McC Roofing/KMR Kawasaki by 11 seconds from Gary McCoy and Carl Phillips to clinch the Junior Sunflower Trophy.

Rea closed the deficit to Razgatlioglu to seven points, but he is now 87 points behind Bautista and realistically mainly fighting with him for second position in the title hunt. The former MotoGP rider blew a 61-point lead under pressure from Rea, who went on to wrap up his fifth consecutive world title. “I felt lucky today a lot because in the first lap when Toprak crashed, he nearly hit me,” Bautista reflected.

Jayde Adams has described her time on Strictly Come Dancing as the "best thing I have ever done in my life" as she became the fourth celebrity to leave the show after a night which celebrated the BBC's centenary. Adams and her professional partner Karen Hauer reprised their Charleston to comic song The Ballad Of Barry And Freda (Let's Do It), which was written and performed by fellow comedian Victoria Wood. After both couples had danced for a second time, it was a unanimous decision by the judges to save Rainford, sending Adams packing. Motsi added: "Well I thought you were both brilliant, I thought that both performances were better than Saturday night but I am going to save Molly and Carlos."
