Ian Kirwan's distraught wife has opened up about the heartache she feels from his brutal death outside an Asda store in Redditch. Ian Kirwan, aged 53, was knifed in the chest outside the Redditch supermarket in Jinnah Road on March 8 last year by the-then 14-year-old. Ian Kirwan's wife, Lyndsey, said: “The decisions made by the youths on March 8 last year didn’t just take my husband from me but it also took my life, my plans for the future and has an impact on all my choices I make in life. Mrs Kirwan, from Redditch, in Worcestershire, described how one of her biggest regrets was not hugging her husband goodbye before he left the house for Asda on that fateful night. Ian didn't deserve to die, he still had so much to live for”.
