Today could be the country's final 'Australia Day' to be held on January 26, according to Peta Credlin. Even if Australia Day is reimagined on a different date and more in line with respecting Indigenous Australia's ancestral claim to the land, it could be unrecognisable. For this reason Credlin thinks Australia Day would quickly become a target for the Voice to Parliament. Achieving the end to the January 26 version of Australia Day, although still a popular holiday with many Aussies, would be regarded as a big nod to the Voice's mandate. 'It's quite possible a voice representation could be that Australia Day shouldn't be celebrated at all.'
