PANTERA's concert in Austria this spring has been canceled following an outcry over singer Philip Anselmo's previous racist remarks. Réka Lörincz, the spokeswoman for the Greens against racism and right-wing extremism, added that "the former Nazi party premises" were "being deliberately misused for the staging and reproduction of racist and inhuman ideology." "Therefore, a performance was unimaginable for us — especially on the former Nazi party rally grounds." In 2017, Anselmo blasted "false journalism in the metal community" for suggesting he was racist because of his actions at "Dimebash". In the weeks after the "Dimebash" incident, Anselmo's DOWN project canceled a number of shows, including at France's Hellfest, Dutch festival FortaRock and U.K.'s Download.

BRIAN JOHNSON Couldn't Watch AXL ROSE Perform With AC/DC: 'I'm Told That He Did A Great Job'

Brian Johnson says that he couldn't bring himself to watch Axl Rose filling in for him at the end of AC/DC's "Rock Or Bust" tour. According to Ultimate Classic Rock, Johnson writes in his autobiography "The Lives Of Brian" that he has never seen any of the widely circulated videos of Rose's performances in the band. "I'm told that he did a great job," Johnson said, "but I just couldn't watch — especially when you've been doing it for 35 years. "He had actually volunteered, because — I'll be honest — at the time, we didn't really know what we would do in that situation. To enable him to perform live with AC/DC again, Johnson worked with audio expert Stephen Ambrose, who said he could help resolve the singer's hearing problems.

Matt Sorum, the Grammy-winning drummer of GUNS N' ROSES and VELVET REVOLVER, spoke to AXS TV about "Judgement Day", the new single and video from his all-star musical collective KINGS OF CHAOS.
