Neal Maupay reignited his rivalry with Arsenal as the Everton ace squared up to both Granit Xhaka and Oleksandr Zinchenko as their Premier League clash threatened to boil over. The initial tackle looked bad, with White – Maupay’s former Brighton teammate – writhing around on the floor after the scissor challenge from Onana. Onana was dealt a yellow card by the referee, but Arsenal players wanted a harsher punishment – which is what sparked Maupay into action. In October, Guendouzi was sent out on loan to Hertha Berlin, before another loan exit to Marseille, where he now plays permanently. After that Brighton game, Maupay stirred the pot by slamming Arsenal for their arrogance, saying they ‘need to learn humility’ and ‘got what they deserved’.
