The recently unsealed documents include excerpts from a deposition in which Murdoch was asked about whether he was aware that some of the network’s commentators — Lou Dobbs, Maria Bartiromo, Jeanine Pirro and Sean Hannity — at times endorsed the false election claims. Denver-based Dominion Voting Systems, which sells electronic voting hardware and software, is suing both Fox News Network and parent company Fox Corp. for defamation. Dominion contends that some Fox News employees deliberately amplified false claims by supporters of Trump that Dominion machines had changed votes in the 2020 election, and that Fox provided a platform for guests to make false and defamatory statements about the company. That was wrong, and for that, FC and FNN are both liable.”Attorneys for Fox Corp. note in their filing that Murdoch also testified that he never discussed Dominion or voter fraud with any of the accused Fox News hosts. “Dominion repeatedly asked Fox News executives, hosts, and staff whether Fox Corporation employees played a role in the publication of the statements it challenges,” they wrote.

Gianluca Vialli, Italy football great, dies aged 58

Another bout with the disease swiftly followed in 2019, before his former team Chelsea announced he’d been ‘given the all-clear’ in 2020. Vialli played for Italian clubs Sampdoria and Juventus and English Premier League team Chelsea and earned 59 caps for Italy. After the final in which Italy beat England on penalties, Italy defender Alessandro Florenzi paid his tributes to Vialli. As a manager at Chelsea, he won the FA Cup and the League Cup before being fired in 2000.

Being a member of the Buffalo Bills is one of the greatest honors of my life. I played safety — the same position as Hamlin — and I have a sense of what the players on this Bills team were going through this week. Buffalo has endured tragedy after tragedy recently — a deadly mass shooting seven months ago, a snowstorm about two weeks ago took the lives of dozens. Through this tragedy, the world came together to show support for Hamlin.

On Friday, the Bills said Hamlin’s breathing tube was removed overnight and he had spoken to his teammates via video.

Kay Ivey called for the state’s execution proceedings to resume. “Now it is time to resume our duty of carrying out lawful death sentences,” the Republican wrote in her letter. In November, Ivey asked Marshall to pause executions and requested the state Department of Corrections to conduct a “top-to-bottom review of the state’s execution process” after problems with multiple lethal injections came into the national spotlight, CNN previously reported. “In addition, the Department has ordered and obtained new equipment that is now available for future executions,” Hamm said.

Voters’ top concern is the economy as Democrats seek a ‘closing message’ to draw contrasts with GOP on combating inflation

The share across each state calling the economy a top concern is especially large among Republican and independent likely voters. John Fetterman has 51% support to Republican nominee Mehmet Oz’s 45% support among likely voters, a CNN poll conducted by SSRS found. Just 1 in 10 Wisconsin likely voters say the state’s economy is getting better, with 61% saying it’s getting worse, and the rest saying it’s stayed about the same. In Pennsylvania, only 8% of likely voters see the state’s economy improving, while 63% say it’s getting worse. The CNN poll found that a 54% majority of likely voters in Michigan support that referendum, known as Proposal 3, while 45% are opposed.
