Morse named A&S Zubrow Distinguished Visiting Journalist

Prominent new media executive and veteran journalist Andrew Morse ’96 has been named the Zubrow Distinguished Visiting Journalist (DVJ) Fellow in the College of Arts and Sciences for spring 2023. “Given his extensive experience with television, digital platforms and the business side of journalism, Andrew will bring interesting insights on the rapidly transforming media landscape. As chief digital officer of CNN, Morse had general management oversight, including responsibility for editorial, programming, product development, technology and business operations. Earlier in his career, Morse served as executive producer of Good Morning America’s Weekend edition and as a senior producer for World News Saturday and Sunday. “I’m honored to have been selected as the Zubrow Distinguished Visiting Journalist,” Morse said.

Course Roster Opens, Students Express Thoughts About Upcoming Semester

As pre-enroll nears, Cornellians are starting to plan ahead for the Spring 2023 semester. Last week, the course roster opened, and students are expressing both excitement and concern about choosing classes and preparing for the new semester. “I have a lot of electives and gen ed classes [required] for my major in the spring semester,” McGee said. Grace Urmaza ’25 expressed excitement about the pre-enroll process. “Ideally, I’ll be in one next semester and I am a bit nervous about that.”Courses being offered in the upcoming semester can be found on the spring 2023 Class Roster.

Fitch races past Harding, 59-28

AUSTINTOWN — Austintown Fitch struck early and often, as the Falcons rolled to a 59-28 win over visiting Warren G. Harding on Friday night at Falcon Stadium. From there, Fitch maintained control over the visiting Raiders (2-8), who never got back to within a score the rest of the night. Smith completed 6-of-10 passes for 91 yards and a score and added 48 yards and a score on the ground. Evans hauled in five receptions for 113 yards and two touchdowns, while Williams racked up 118 yards on 10 carries. “It’s disappointing, but as I told the kids at halftime, I’m very, very proud of them,” said Harding coach Steve Arnold.
