Miami Dolphins cornerback Byron Jones appeared to retire as he took to social media to lament his injuries and criticise the NFL medical practices. Jones set the all-time world record for the Broad Jump with a leap of 12’3” during the 2015 NFL Scouting Combine - but now he ‘can’t run or jump’. Thomas wrote: “The NFL medical sucks, cheap and uneducated. He finished his rookie season with 67 combined tackles and nine pass deflections through 11 starts in 16 games. He signed a five-year deal worth $82million with Miami in 2020 to become the highest paid cornerback in the NFL.
