Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Kyle Dubas is in near-constant communication with his head coach. Dubas took part in some late-night shopping Friday — the trade was announced shortly before 11 p.m. O'Reilly helped St. Louis capture the Stanley Cup in 2019 with a Conn Smythe Trophy-winning performance as playoff MVP. The Leafs plan to move their new forwards — O'Reilly and Acciari were expected to dress Saturday against Montreal -- around the lineup to see where they best fit. No talk of signing O'Reilly"We're a team that believes in ourselves," said Leafs defenceman Mark Giordano, acquired at last season's deadline.

'Extremely dangerous' Hurricane Roslyn threatens Mexico

Hurricane Roslyn was expected to deliver a treacherous storm surge to parts of Mexico Sunday after plowing over the Pacific as a powerful Category 4 storm just offshore from the resort of Puerto Vallarta. The U.S. National Hurricane Center said early Sunday that Roslyn had become "extremely dangerous" with maximum sustained winds of 215 kilometres an hour. The storm was forecast "to bring damaging winds, a life-threatening storm surge and flooding rains to portions of west-central Mexico today," the hurricane centre said at 12 a.m. Sunday. The crashes might reflect the growing strain that the fighting in Ukraine has put on the Russian air force. Moncton told inclusionary zoning won't be affordable housing 'silver bullet'

It would allow the municipality to require new high-density residential developments to include some affordable housing. A staff report says the approach isn't the "silver bullet" fix to the affordable housing issue in Moncton." Josh Adams, a senior planner with the City of Moncton, says the study found inclusionary zoning may not be the solution the city had hoped would boost affordable housing. "As a result, inclusionary zoning policies may yield weak and/or negative results if they were to be implemented under the current context." "It is possible that under this current context, [inclusionary zoning] could potentially reduce the volume of market rental housing development."

Who is running for mayor in Cornwall

In preparation for the election, we prepared a questionnaire for all potential mayoral candidates in Cornwall to answer. The Town of Cornwall ridership numbers have increased greatly almost to the numbers prior to COVID-19 therefore that would suggest T3 is working in this town. With the growth that we are experiencing in Cornwall it has become evident that our recreation programming for our residents needs additional space and programming. Our town needs to have a community response team which has an effective way to inform residents of what is happening. As well the town needs its own fuel supply for its equipment, and additional equipment purchased such as as generators.
