Jose Gimenez had headed Atletico in front in the second half shortly after team-mate Angel Correa had been sent off for elbowing Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger. However 18-year-old forward Rodriguez headed Madrid level on only his second league appearance for the club. Atletico defender Reinildo Mandava was forced off injured midway through the first half, appearing to hurt his knee in a tussle with Fede Valverde. However Rodriguez intervened with five minutes left on the clock, leaping brilliantly to nod Luka Modric's corner in off the post, after Atletico had left him unmarked.

12,300 journalists accredited to cover World Cup: Al Khater

QNADoha: CEO of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Nasser Al Khater, revealing the plan for media coverage of this historic event, said 12,300 journalists in various media outlets were officially accredited to cover the events of the tournament. In this context, media representatives’ permits have been approved to cover the tournament, and all FIFA member football federations have received a certain quota of written press and photographer permits to be distributed later to national media institutions and their representatives. FIFA TV is directly responsible for media rights licensees, TV and radio rights holders, and the FIFA broadcasting services team keeps in regular contact with media rights licensees and will inform them directly about the accreditation procedures and everything related to permits. Al Khater confirmed that 78 channels have obtained the rights to broadcast the tournament, in addition to seven centre that will be allocated studios for broadcasting the World Cup, and more than 95 percent of them have been booked. SC’s Executive Director of Communications and Media Fatima Al Nuaimi said that the digital platform Qatar Media Portal is a valuable resource for media professionals and representatives of broadcasters from all over the world to cover the World Cup competitions and accompanying events.
