LIV Golf players have been included in Sports Illustrated's new Golf World Rankings in a bid to properly measure the best players on the planet in 2023. As it stands, LIV Golf League tournaments remain shut out of receiving any Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) points. Rather worrying for the Saudi-banrkolled circuit though, they are the only two LIV Golf players in the Top 20. So how does the Sports Illustrated Golf World Ranking work exactly? Four-time major champion Ernie Els also blasted LIV Golf for even being in the shake up for world ranking points.

Collin Morikawa opens up SIX-SHOT LEAD at Sentry Tournament of Champions

Collin Morikawa is on the verge of his first win on the PGA Tour since the summer of 2021 after carding a superb 8-under 65 in the third round of the Sentry Tournament of Champions. The 25-year-old entered the third round with a two-shot lead and he began well with an impressive eagle on the par-5 5th hole. At one stage during today's round, Morikawa led the field in strokes gained in putting, three-putt avoidance, putting average and the average distance of putts made. Report: Xander Schauffele "has joined" LIV Golf League and will be 2023 team captain

It's not official, but according to an "insider" Xander Schauffele has agreed to join LIV Golf and will be the team captain of Torque GC in 2023. He said:"[The] PGA Tour and LIV will have to find a compromise and speak for the sake of our sport. LIV Golf chief Atul Khosla said before that event they wanted all of their transfers confirmed before the end of 2022. Harry Higgs shoots 62 at Mayakoba despite "fighting uphill" in 2022

PGA Tour fan favourite Harry Higgs put three consecutive missed cuts to the back of his mind with a stunning 62 on Friday to contend at the World Wide Technology Championship. After his score of 9-under in the second round at Mayakoba, Higgs admitted he "doesn't know what will happen" when he tees sit up on Tour, attributing bad reactions to bad shots as one of his weaknesses. He is six shots behind three-time Tour winner Russell Henley heading into the weekend. Higgs earned his first Tour card in 2019 by coming fifth on the Korn Ferry Tour points list. I had a very poor year by my standards and kind of fighting uphill for the entirety of this year.
