DALLAS (AP) — Kyle Kuzma scored 30 points and made one of two free throws to break a tie with 4.2 seconds remaining, lifting the Washington Wizards to a 127-126 victory over Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night. Luka Doncic had 41 points and 15 rebounds for the Mavericks. The Wizards knocked the first out of bounds, and Delon Wright stole the second to seal the victory. Bradley Beal scored 22 points with a 3-pointer that was one of three lead changes in the final three minutes. … Corey Kispert scored 14 points, Monte Morris had 13 and Wright had 10 points, six assists and three steals.

NEW YORK (AP) — Drops in big tech companies including Google’s parent company and Microsoft weighed down the stock market in early trading on Wall Street. Alphabet and Microsoft each fell about 8% in the early going Wednesday after reporting disappointing results. The tech-heavy Nasdaq fell 1.7%, while the broader S&P 500 index fell 0.7%. Wall Street pointed lower before the opening bell Wednesday after some tepid earnings from major tech companies. In energy markets, benchmark U.S. crude gained 93 cents to $86.25 per barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Rudy Gobert had 25 points and 21 rebounds, D’Angelo Russell also scored 25 and the Minnesota Timberwolves cruised to a 128-115 win against the short-handed Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night. Los Angeles was playing without stars Paul George and Kawhi Leonard on the second night of a back-to-back. Reserve forward Norman Powell had a team-high 21 points for Los Angeles, which lost its fifth game in a row. Without George and Leonard, the Clippers’ usually stout defense struggled against the Timberwolves.
