Hawks management reportedly sees Snyder as someone who can establish that same, team-first culture in Atlanta. It will be about the Young and Snyder relationship, but it will be one on equal footing. Other players see Young as someone who doesn’t always put the team first, who can chase numbers and prioritize what’s best for himself. The Chicago Bulls moved to 3-2 on the 2022-23 season with a 124-109 victory over the Indiana Pacers at the United Center Wednesday night. The Bulls' offense positively hummed early on against a Pacers team that they had every reason to badly beat. Their 38-point first quarter was their highest-scoring quarter of the season, and came with 9 assists and 5-for-9 3-point shooting. Three minutes later, White, Dosunmu, DeRozan and Vučević came out, and LaVine, Goran Dragić, Alex Caruso and Andre Drummond came on. Playing in the first close game since LaVine's debut, Donovan offered a look at his preferred closing group, running Dosunmu, LaVine, DeRozan, Caruso and Vučević.

Jordan Poole strutted into Little Caesars Arena on Sunday with black sunglasses and a bright yellow Michigan Starter jacket. When he returned, Poole went cold, missing his only two shots attempts as the Warriors went 7-for-23 in the second quarter, scoring only 18 points to go into halftime trailing 63-55. As a starter, Poole averaged 7.1 more points in the regular season compared to his time as a bench player. If he brings the energy and effort that he did the past two games, points will come, as will everything else. The final result hasn't been what Poole and the rest of the Warriors want to start their road trip.

Here are observations on their win over Brooklyn:Simmons vs. the Sixers …As anyone familiar with Simmons’ Sixers history could have foreseen, he received loud boos whenever he had the ball. Early in the second quarter, the 26-year-old blocked a Niang floater and then slammed in a dunk on the ensuing possession. Though he’s a former teammate of Simmons’, Niang never actually played a game alongside him last season. He pushed that approach too far with an off-ball shove late in the second quarter that the officials deemed a Flagrant 1 foul. Brooklyn didn’t make a three until 8:24 remained in the second quarter.
