Yet what has really struck me on NetFlix is a current eight-part documentary entitled Full Swing. They have their ups and downs, they yuck it up like college frat brothers, and they seem to get the most out of tour life. The third episode begins with the formation of LIV Golf but quickly morphs into the ultra-complicated life of Englishman Ian Poulter. The end result will be the designated events that are now a part of this year’s PGA Tour schedule with its elite fields and $20 million purses. Full Swing is a great look at a year on the PGA Tour and LIV Golf.

Look for putative speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy to try to do the job that President Trump wanted to strong-arm Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy into performing. Did I say “Speaker McCarthy”? There’s even loose talk among GOP stalwarts of electing former President Trump speaker of the House. There’s no constitutional requirement that the speaker be a voting member — nor free of criminal indictment, for that matter.

It’s part of the Democratic strategy to make Trump “the center of the story” on Nov. 8, Election Day, not just Jan. 6, Insurrection Day. The first is aimed at reminding voters that Trump himself, and his fervent supporters, stand for incivility and instability. It’s now Democrats and Never Trump Republicans who are worried about electoral thievery in 2024. Democrats are right — Trump and democracy are both on the ballot next month.
