Unison said healthcare assistants, cleaners, porters and ambulance staff will be involved in the March 8 strike. They will be joined by ambulance staff at four services in England – South Central, East of England, West Midlands and East Midlands, also now able to take action following a strike vote last week. NHS workers in five unions are involved in strike action over pay, staffing and patient care. Ambulance workers with the Unite union have announced that they will take part in strike action later this month. This comes as other ambulance workers with Unison announced similar industrial action going into 2023. The strikes will see more than 2,600 ambulance workers in the West Midlands, North West, North East, East Midlands, and Wales walkout. The general public must be as mystified as our ambulance workers as to why the Government is not moving heaven and earth to solve this dispute.”PA - Ambulance strikes are taking place later this month (Image: PA)When are ambulance strikes taking place? The ambulance strikes will take place on January 23 with workers from Unison also taking action on this date.2 months ago Dorset Echo

Mr Breton said he was pleased to hear that Mr Musk considers the EU rules “a sensible approach to implement on a worldwide basis”. “But let’s also be clear that there is still huge work ahead,” Mr Musk said, according to a readout of the call released by Mr Breton’s office. He already reinstated some high-profile accounts that had violated Twitter’s content rules and promised a “general amnesty” restoring most suspended accounts starting this week. Along with European regulators, Mr Musk risks running foul of Apple and Google, which power most of the world’s smartphones. Mr Musk tweeted without providing evidence this week that Apple “threatened to withhold Twitter from its App Store, but won’t tell us why”.3 months ago Dorset Echo
