It has been confirmed by Exeter City Council that there are still no plans to rename Exeter's Blackboy Road, despite a council in London with the same name in its borough doing so. Read more: Exeter Quay could get 'new high-quality' homesIt is claimed that Blackboy Road in Exeter was named after King Charles II. It reads, 'La Rose Lane (formerly Black Boy Lane)'. In 2021, Exeter City Council confirmed it would not be relocating the statue of General Redvers Buller on the junction of Hele Road and New North Road. Regarding the remaining of Blackboy Road, a spokesperson for Exeter City Council said: "There are no plans to rename Blackboy Road that we are aware of."
