Ron DeSantis and education activists have zeroed in on a list of “woke” school board officials to replace in the 2024 elections. Kostick also shared the list of 14 school board members the organization is working with DeSantis’s political team to unseat. “I’d be more concerned if an article came out saying ‘Ron DeSantis endorses Jennifer Jenkins,'” the Brevard County school board member added. DeSantis’s Education CampaignThe list of 14 school board members is not the first time DeSantis has gotten involved in local education elections. DeSantis endorsed 34 candidates in school board elections throughout Florida in the 2022 elections; 29 of those candidates went on to win their races and gain seats on school boards across the state.

Four days later, and a day after Gottlieb met with Twitter workers, Twitter banned Berenson for allegedly violating its rules on COVID-19 misinformation. Berenson was reinstated to Twitter in 2022 as part of a settlement of a lawsuit he brought against the company.

Zelenskyy is urging the West to hasten delivery of its promised weapons so Ukraine can go on the offensive. The city, where Russia’s advance in the south was halted, had been under relentless bombardment until Ukraine pushed the front line back in November. Russia invaded Ukraine on Feb. 24 last year, claiming it was necessary to protect itself from its neighbor’s ties with the West.

Wisconsin Judge Hands Win to Republicans Over Mail-In Ballot Lawsuit

A judge in Wisconsin on Wednesday rejected a request to allow election officials to count mail-in ballots with incomplete addresses on them. In a lawsuit filed in October, the League of Women Voters of Wisconsin asked the court to declare that a missing address on a mail-in ballot means only that the address field is left entirely blank. Election NumbersSince the 2020 election, the Wisconsin legislature has passed a number of election integrity bills that make it harder to vote via mail-in ballots. Ahead of the November General Election, more than 510,000 mail-in ballots have been requested by the state of Wisconsin, of which about 305,000 have been returned, according to data provided by the Wisconsin Elections Commission. And earlier this month, Republicans filed a lawsuit against Pennsylvania officials who said they will accept mail-in ballots without dates.
