Legal challenges over voting already piling up well ahead of general election

The suits, largely by Republicans, target rules over mail-in voting, early voting, voter access, voting machines, voting registration, the counting of mismarked absentee ballots and access for partisan poll watchers. But their legal effort ahead of the election focuses on making voting easier and helping those denied a chance to vote, through legal hotlines and volunteers. Trump’s own leadership found the election was fair, and state election officials nationwide saw no widespread evidence of fraud. There’s growing concern among election officials and law enforcement about overly aggressive poll watchers or people pretending to be poll watchers intimidating voters. Other legal action includes litigation in Pennsylvania over absentee ballots dating and whether outside parties should be allowed examine voting machines.

You’ve described a physician who sexualizes the work environment by placing his hands on employees and making inappropriate comments. Worse, as a newly hired employee, you fear you’ll lose your job if you protest what’s going on. I’ll say I’ve heard rumors of continuing sexual harassment involving comments and physical touch on the part of a physician at their clinic.

Alaska sports week in review: Colony football claims first DI state title, UAA volleyball win streak snapped, Wolverines split first home series

On the high school football front, the Colony Knights upset the previously undefeated Juneau Huskies to claim their first Division I state title. The University of Alaska Anchorage volleyball team suffered its first conference loss of the season and first defeat in nearly two months. The Anchorage Wolverines took to their home ice for the first time this season and broke even in a two-game series. The 14-7 victory secured their first state title in program history since the school first opened in 1989. “They proved about six games ago that they were done giving up,” Colony coach Robbie Nash said of his team.

As well as stabilizing the U.K. economy, Sunak must try to unite a governing party that has descended into acrimony as its poll ratings have plunged. Conservative lawmaker Victoria Atkins, a Sunak ally, said the party would “settle down” under Sunak.

ADVERTISEMENT“We’re running a serious Senate campaign,” Tshibaka said. He said that expenses associated with getting the lightsabers delivered to Alaska drove up the costs to $95,000. Among those picking up the Tshibaka-branded lightsabers was Jerry Ward, a former state lawmaker now working for Palin’s campaign. Alaskans for LISA, a PAC run by Alaska political operatives who favor Murkowski, has been spending millions on ads attacking Tshibaka for months.
