Bullis said The Daily Diner will embrace a classic diner feel with a fresh spin added in by means of its “chef-inspired” meals. From its first day onward, The Daily Diner will stay true to its name by remaining open all week long. Bullis said he looks forward to having The Daily Diner be a hub for locals. Cazenovia football handles Canastota, finishes unbeaten regular season

Lethal with its air attack, Cazenovia saw Hoak complete 16 of 21 passes for 226 yards. West Genesee soccer teams reach sectional Class AA finals

At home in Camillus, WG’s girls got off to the best possible start in Wednesday’s sectional semifinal against Liverpool, then closed strong with surprising contributions in a 4-1 victory over the Warriors. Over at Christian Brothers Academy’s Alibrandi Stadium, the boys Wildcats waited until the second half to make its decisive move against Utica Proctor, ultimately beating the Raiders 2-1. With only six teams in the girls sectional AA bracket, WG, as the top seed with a 10-4-2 record, had a bye straight into the semifinals. 6 seed Wildcats, who had already knocked off no. Then, after Proctor got on the board in the second half, the Wildcats offered a strong response.

Local Red Cross volunteer assists with Hurricane Ian recovery

CAZENOVIA — Earlier this month, Cazenovia resident Anne Saltman returned from Florida, where she worked with the American Red Cross on its hurricane recovery efforts. “On Sept. 27, 1,600 people had sought refuge in 12 Red Cross and partner shelters as the hurricane approached landfall. The Red Cross is a non-profit humanitarian organization that depends on volunteers and the generosity of donors to deliver its mission. Volunteers make up 90 percent of the Red Cross workforce and help respond to an average of more than 60,000 disasters every year. Baldwinsville BOE previews Baker, Ray renovations

BALDWINSVILLE — The Baldwinsville Central School District Board of Education offered an overview at its Oct. 17 meeting of the district’s proposed renovations at Baker High School, the athletic complex and Ray Middle School, as well as minor improvements at Elden Elementary and Durgee Junior High School. According to Zillow, the typical home in the Baldwinsville school district is worth $246,367, so taxes for such a home would increase by about $40.92. There will be a new entrance to the athletics wing and a new access road for parent drop-off and parking. Looking ahead, BCSD likely will present a capital project vote in 2026 covering renovations and additions to the elementary schools and a possible reconfiguration of Durgee and Ray. Baldwinsville grad makes cover of Drum Corps World magazine

“They were looking at the magazine and they were blowing up my phone like, ‘Liam, look — you’re on the cover!’”The cover in question is the December 2022 issue of Drum Corps World magazine, which covers Drum Corps International news and events. While his high school career is over, Rausa has marched on in his drum corps journey. The drum corps schedule will ramp up to every weekend in the spring. “Around March and April you start doing every weekend, which became pretty hard in high school,” Rausa said.
