Many close to Britney Spears including her husband Sam Asghari, her manager and her doctors reportedly planned an intervention earlier this week. They reportedly wanted to address what they perceive as substance abuse issues and behavior problems with the pop star, but it seems the plan did not work out as originally scheduled. The outlet claims there has been increasing concern from Spears’ camp about substance abuse issues. Following the release of a documentary and a new found public awareness of some of the consequences of that conservatorship, Spears was freed to live her own life and make her own choices. Hopefully, whatever is going on, Britney Spears is able to find a path that leads to a healthy and fulfilling life of happiness.
Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story has proven to be very polarizing since it dropped on Netflix in September. It would now seem that one of the latest people to take issue with the show is none other than Dahmer’s father, Lionel. Lionel Dahmer claims (via his caregiver) that he was never contacted about Ryan Murphy's series, according to The Sun . His assistant, who was only identified as Jeb, told the news outlet that Dahmer was also not consulted about the recently released docuseries Conversations With A Killer: The Jeffrey Dahmer Tapes. A number of people who are linked to Jeffrey Dahmer’s murders have spoken out about the drama series.5 months ago CinemaBlend
And apparently his Star Wars movie could end up being tied to the sequel trilogy. Since Disney acquired Lucasfilm the House of Mouse has been consistently producing new Star Wars projects, in addition to theme park attractions. That’s what made the news of Damon Lindelof’s developing Star Wars flick so thrilling for fans, who have countless questions. It should be interesting to see if Damon Lindelof’s movie ends up being the first post-Skywalker Saga film to hit theaters. Then there’s Taika Waititi and Rian Johnson’s Star Wars movies , which are still in the earliest stage of development.5 months ago CinemaBlend
The world of Doctor Who is always changing, which is a concept built into the main character itself. With Jodie Whittaker’s run officially completed now, and the 60th anniversary specials set to spotlight a familiar face, huge celebrations are certainly in order. That doesn’t apply for fans in the UK and Ireland though, as the BBC will still maintain its streaming rights in the series’ homeland. Here's how it was stated:David Tennant will play the Fourteenth Doctor for three specials, before Ncuti Gatwa takes over the role as the Fifteenth Doctor over the festive season. For now, you can catch up with Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor Who run on HBO Max.5 months ago CinemaBlend
For first-time feature filmmaker, Nikyatu Jusu, it was important to bring to life the mythical forces of West African folktales to tell the story of Nanny. Nikyatu Jusu, who won the Grand Jury Prize at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival early this year for Nanny, making it the first horror movie to receive the honor, spoke to CinemaBlend about infusing West African folklore into her movie. In her words:[There were] many drafts of the script, because you never want the folklore or the externalization of the horror elements to stray too far from the character's internal journey. We worked with some amazing VFX teams to figure out how to blend the CGI elements with the practical elements. In an Instagram post, Nikyatu Jusu shared some behind-the-scenes looks at the making of Nanny, particularly with some breathtaking water filmography.4 months ago CinemaBlend
It also did nothing to dismiss exiting showrunner Chris Chibnall’s polarizing Timeless Child arc, and I think that’s a great thing. “The Power of the Doctor” justified the Timeless Child arc, which is impressive since it didn't even directly mention it. (Image credit: BBC America)First, Let's Recap The Timeless Child Arc And What It ChangedThe Timeless Child arc revealed that The Doctor was found as a child by a Shabogan scientist, Tecteun, on another planet. Effectively, they were all punting it to the next person to handle, and Chris Chibnall finally handled it with the ‘Timeless Child” arc. Stories like the Timeless Child are what keep a show like Doctor Who interesting for decades.5 months ago CinemaBlend
It’s been an interesting few days following the surprise Sunday night announcement of a change of leadership at The Walt Disney Company. CEO Bob Chapek is out and the man he replaced, Bob Iger, is back at the helm at the house of mouse. While the lackluster financial state of the company is the obvious reason this change was made, more details are coming to light that indicate Bob Chapek may have been making some shady decisions regarding the company’s financials, specifically around Disney+. The earnings call is being cited as one of the major factors leading to the Disney Board making the move to bring back Bob Iger. It also creates some interesting questions regarding Disney’s Media & Entertainment Distribution, the new vertical within Disney created by Chapek to manage nearly all of Disney’s media companies, including both Disney Channel and Disney+.4 months ago CinemaBlend
