A decision not to impose minimum parking spaces on a Barnoldswick car park development was made to protect the viability of its town centre, a councillor has said. Tom Whipp, a Pendle Lib-Dem councillor, has highlighted in more detail the reasons behind his call not to impose the planning condition on the Filtrox Carlson site. A previous report incorrectly stated the minimum parking condition would be reconsidered. Speaking this week, Coun Whipp said: “Essentially, the approved plans for Butts Mill have no minimum amount of parking spaces required. “Removing the condition at Butts Mill does not prevent the company from creating parking spaces.
