Dammam – The second edition of the Saudi Women's Global Goals World Cup concluded today, with team Oasis winning first place and qualifying for the World Finals in 2023, taking place in the Czech Republic, Prague. The qualifying round for the Saudi version of the Global Goals World Cup finals was held in Riyadh, Jeddah, Tabuk, and Al-Jawf from August 27 to September 26. Ms. Shaima Saleh Al-Husseini, Managing Director at the Saudi Sports for All Federation, said: "We are pleased to host the Saudi edition of the Global Goals World Cup for the second time. The Kingdom enjoys a good record of success in the Global Goals World Cup. Dubai: Traffic system slashes travel time on roads by 20%

Dubai’s ‘Intelligent Traffic System’ (ITS) has helped cut travel time on key highways and roads by about 20 per cent. The total length of roads covered by the ITS in Dubai will jump from 480km to 710km. The signs are located in selected locations along Dubai roads as well as sites leading to mega events. The first phase also involved the installation of traffic monitoring and data capturing systems, including the installation of 116 traffic cameras. The project also included upgrading the software of the advanced central traffic system that supports decision-making and provides an automatic response line.

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank reports record quarterly net profit of $433mln

ABU DHABI - Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank PJSC (ADCB) today reported its financial results for the third quarter of 2022 (Q3’22). These include further strengthening and diversification of revenue streams, with double-digit growth in both net interest income and non-interest income achieved in the nine-month period. The Bank has recorded loan growth of 3 percent year to date, as lending increased to diverse economic sectors. The bank also recorded an average interest earning assets of AED 399 billion (up 11 percent or AED 38 billion over Sep’21), while total customer deposits reached AED 302 billion (14 percent increase from Dec’21). Capital adequacy and CET1 ratios were 15.44 percent and 12.60 percent respectively, with liquidity coverage ratio (LCR) reaching 124.5 percent.
