Andy Murray’s survival instincts were pushed to their limits again on Wednesday, as he outlasted Alexander Zverev in a three-hour marathon at the Qatar Open. This three hour, two minute win over world No 16 Zverev was one of his best on paper. Zverev won the second set as Murray began to look laboured in his movements. Elsewhere, world No 1 Novak Djokovic is hopeful he will get special permission to play the ‘Sunshine Double’ in Indian Wells and Miami. I’m thankful to the Indian Wells and Miami tournament and communities for their support publicly... I’m looking forward to a positive decision coming soon, but it’s not in my hands.
