GREEN BAY – The Packers made their third waiver claim of the 2022 regular season to acquire linebacker Justin Hollins on Thursday. Hollins worked with Joe Barry in Los Angeles. He led the country in forced fumbles during his senior year at Oregon. Hollins was a three-year starting outside linebacker at the University of Oregon, ending his final collegiate campaign as the nation's leader in forced fumbles with five. His eight forced fumbles from 2017-18 were the most in the nation during that span.
Green Bay Ghost Tours is back in business, looking for spirits and sharing historyThe growing popularity of Halloween has U.S. consumers spending what's expected to be a record $10.6 billion for this frightful season. His business, Green Bay Ghost Tours, has been around since 2008 and is ramping back up after being sidelined by COVID-19. "I didn’t push too hard this year; my marketing was limited mostly to putting up yard signs around Green Bay.”In addition, he benefitted from his membership in Discover Green Bay, formerly the Greater Green Bay Convention and Visitors Bureau, and as a listed tourist attraction on Tripadvisor. He considers the possibility of having ghost tours with trained hosts in other communities along with other types of tours. “Cities need to know their history and I’d like to have a history tour and maybe an architectural tour," Freiss said.1 month ago Green Bay Press-Gazette
Tiger Woods' hole-in-one ball from his professional debut at Greater Milwaukee Open up for auctionBob Gustin was in the right place at the perfect time while watching Tiger Woods make his professional debut at the Greater Milwaukee Open in 1996. Woods extended his right arm with golf ball in hand. Three seconds later, he tossed the ball into the crowd after Gustin’s brother-in-law, David Beck, and others pleaded for it. The golf ball likely wasn’t worth then what it is now, but he was a serious baseball card collector and knew the value of keepsakes like this one. “We have sold the Greater Milwaukee Open tickets for world-record prices and sold a few other items from his debut,” Heritage consignment director Chris Nerat said.1 month ago Green Bay Press-Gazette

Packers defense has no margin for error because offense, special teams are awful right nowLANDOVER, Maryland – Stop blaming the Green Bay Packers defense for the team’s 23-21 loss to the Washington Commanders on Sunday at FedEx Field. There is almost no margin for error because the Packers’ offense is a disaster, and the special teams keeps having 2021 flashbacks. Add up what the Commanders offense scored and what the Packers defense scored and it’s a 16-point difference. In the meantime, the Packers offense was stuck in mud and went three-and-out after the first back-to-back and five-and-out after the second back-to-back. All told, the Packers defense was on the field 14½ of the final 21 minutes of the first half.1 month ago Green Bay Press-Gazette

But as little Elliot in the movie, “E.T.” blurted out, “This is Reality Greg.” The Packers don’t have Spielberg’s option of taking it from the top. November 1st at 4 PM eastern time is the official NFL trade deadline. As bad as the stats look for the last few games, Aaron Rodgers still has trade value. David Bakhtiari might have limited trade value but would probably fail a physical. Jaire Alexander has trade value, and the Packers did quite well without him last year.1 month ago Total Packers
The Green Bay Packers (3-3) will attempt to snap a two-game losing streak when Matt LaFleur’s team begins a three-game road trip on Sunday in Washington. Here’s how the staff at Packers Wire believes the Week 7 showdown against the Commanders will go down:Zach Kruse (2-4): Packers 20, Commanders 10A rough season of predicting games continues. Green Bay will have to account for Taylor Heinecke’s mobility, but he is turnover prone as well. Brennen Rupp (3-3): Packers 23, Commanders 13It’s hard to imagine the Green Bay Packers losing three straight games. Matt LeFleur needs to lean the rushing attack and get the quick passing game going.1 month ago Packers Wire
